mission of Women in Public & International Affairs (WPIA),
at Columbia University's School of International and Public
Affairs:
- Promote
full social, political, legal, and economic equality for
women
- Advocate
for women and women’s concerns within and outside of
the SIPA community
- Stimulate
interest in the needs of women and foster wider opportunities
for women in the fields of public and international affairs
- Create
an active network of women professionals in these fields
- Educate
SIPA and the greater Columbia University community about
policy and management issues that affect women in domestic
and international contexts
- Foster
the development of members’ leadership skills
