Biography:
Wallace Ford is principal and founder of Fordworks Associates Inc., a management consulting and advisory firm based in New York.

Prior to forming Fordworks last year, Mr. Ford, a graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard University's Law School, held numerous high-level positions in the legal profession, academia, state and local government and on Wall Street where he worked as an investment banker. In recent years, Mr. Ford worked as an attorney at the Kaye Scholer law firm, specializing in international corporate law. He was the New York City Commissioner of Business Services during the administration of former Mayor David Dinkins as well as President and Chief Executive Officer of the State of New York Mortgage Agency during the administration of former Governor Mario Cuomo.

In his current position at Fordworks, Mr. Ford provides advisory services for clients in the U.S., Asia, Africa, Europe and the Caribbean. A sampling of his former and current clients includes the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, the Irish Stock Exchange, the Republic of Haiti, Playboy Entertainment, the Nigerian Investment and Securities Tribunal, Black Entertainment Television and the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone Development Corporation.

Mr. Ford is member of the faculty at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, where he teaches public policy management and economic policy management in emerging market economies. He also teaches courses in international business at the School of Business of Metropolitan College of New York. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Advisors for the Center for Jazz Studies at Columbia University and a member of the Board of Advisors of United Way International. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Haitel, S.A., the leading cellular phone company in the Republic of Haiti and of Gridline Communications Holdings, Inc., a telecommunications firm based in Houston.

He is a contributing columnist with Turning Point magazine and has written for numerous publications and lectured extensively throughout the United States. His first novel, The Pride, is due to be published in 2005.
