Post a Position with SIPA
The Office of Career Services (OCS) invites you to post your full-time, part-time, Work-Study, or domestic or international internship position announcements on our online employment system for SIPA students. In addition, SIPA alumni will have access to these postings so you will gain access to a group of more seasoned professionals. Students and alumni will apply directly to you.
All recruiting at SIPA is conducted through our online career services system that effectively responds to the needs of employers and SIPA students. The software system allows you to post positions 24 hours a day 7 days a week, to remove listings when filled and to archive positions for future use.
For New Employers
To set up a free online account with our office in this online job posting software system, please call the Office of Career Services (OCS), at 212-854-8335 or email us at sipa_ocs@columbia.edu with "Job Posting" in the subject line. An OCS staff member will open an account for you. You will then receive an e-mail containing a link to the login box, a copy of your username and password, and instructions on how to post. An online tutorial will also be available.
When using MonsterTRAK, please note the following:
Students view positions chronologically by posting date. The most recently posted appear at the top of the list. To ensure optimal visibility, we recommend that you utilize the following job posting guidelines:
Full-time positions should be posted until the final application deadline. If there is no application deadline, we recommend you set a date 30 days from the posting date and insert this date into the Remove & Archive listing. At that time you will have the option to reactivate the position for an additional 30 days.
Internships and Work-Study positions should be posted until the application deadline. If you do not have set internship program deadlines, we recommend you insert the following dates in the Remove & Archive Listing field:
Fall Internships: December 15
Spring Internships: April 15
Summer Internships: August 1
If your internship is year round, or if you accept applications on a rolling basis, you can put July 15th in the Remove and Archive Listing field, but please remember that students view position listings chronologically so that new postings will be seen before your entry.
Work-Study positions: Please be sure to choose Work-Study from the list under Employment Type.
