Career Services
The mission of the Office of Career Services (OCS) is to provide students and alumni with the necessary tools to successfully manage their immediate internship and full-time job search as well as their professional development throughout their careers. We accomplish this through career advising, a professional development course, career events, recruitment and employer outreach programs, and professional networking opportunities. Students and alumni are encouraged to partner with OCS and dedicate time to independent research and networking to build bridges with the professional world.
Location:
The Office of Career Services is located on the 4th Floor of the International Affairs Building - Room 420.
Office Hours:
OCS is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. During the academic year, we also are open on Tuesday evenings from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Students can meet with professional staff for résumé and cover letter reviews, career advising, and mock interviews. Appointments can be scheduled on SIPAlink, our job and internship database, or by calling 212-854-4613.
Accessing the Alumni Directory
Based on student requests, SIPA has revised its systems to allow students to search for alumni contacts via the SIPA Alumni Directory. Please contact Scott Pesner, Director of Alumni Affairs, sp3078@columbia.edu, if there are any technical issues or questions. We hope you enjoy your expanded SIPA network!
