Columbia University Faculty Handbook
This faculty handbook is intended only to provide information for the guidance of Columbia University faculty and officers of research.
DIPA Faculty Handbook
This faculty handbook is a reference tool for all faculty members to inform them of the policies and procedures of the Department of International and Public Affairs (DIPA) and of the University. (DIPA's general office telephone numbers are (212) 854-3239, (212) 854-3213 and (212) 854-7375.) We have included information on how this administrative office operates, and, equally important, what this office requests of each faculty member to facilitate its operation.
If you encounter a problem or process that has not been addressed by this handbook, please let us know. We are encouraging everyone to use the vast electronic resources at Columbia, including the Lehman Library electronic course reserves and the DIPA faculty Web site for reading assignments. Most questions will be answered on the University's Web site. Click on "Faculty and Staff" on the left hand side of the home page for more specific answers regarding SIPA and DIPA policies.
