The Asian Women Social Entrepreneurs Network (AWSEN) aims to create a support environment for female social entrepreneurs in the Mekong region. As noted by the United Nations Development Programme in Vietnam, female social entrepreneurs are important actors in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Female social enterprises are supported and connected through AWSEN to build their network and their skills in order to amplify their social change. In 2019, a SIPA team established the Tools and Innovative Entrepreneurship Resources (TIER) framework, which allows AWSEN to leverage their support network and guide evaluation capacity development, as well as highlight the cross-pollination of ideas and experiences from their membership.
