CODESPA is a Spanish non-profit that operates in sixteen countries around the world to promote income-generating activities. Their work is based in their respect for the dignity of individuals and trust in people’s capacity to improve their own livelihoods through hard work and inherent ingenuity. In the Sacred Valley of Peru, they have identified tourism as the most viable option for indigenous communities and have developed rural community tourism routes to provide a mutually beneficial experience for tourists and community members alike. To that end, CODESPA presented our team with three objectives related to tourist preferences, equitable distribution of wealth-generating opportunities, and creative strategies to improve current marketing initiatives.
