TechnoServe is a not-for-profit organization that dedicates its resources to helping enterprises grow into competitive farms, businesses, and industries in 40 countries across the developing world. To this end, a core component of TechnoServe’s offerings include training entrepreneurs in managerial and financial practices through a combination of online learning, workshops, and one-on-one business advisory. In extending TechnoServe’s training capacity and scale, a team of five SIPA students developed a business plan for a proposed training expansion from a desktop based online platform to a stand-alone, smartphone application. In so doing, we propose an integrated solution consisting in core business tracking, complementary e-Learning, and networking, to be developed in five iterated phases from a minimum viable product (MVP) to final prototype for introduction to the Latin American market.
