In conjunction with the Civil Service Bureau, the Picker Center has designed one-week
programs that provide directorate civil servants an opportunity to examine key
challenges in policy formulation and implementation, against a broad international
perspective, and to generate practical insights and strategies for enhancing their
respective roles in public governance. Specific topics covered include: public
management challenges, accountability systems and new modes of governance,
managing and evaluating government performance, building community support on
government policies, policy development & marketing, and crisis management.
