IMPLEMENTING MONETARY POLICY POST-CRISIS
The financial crisis has led to dramatic changes to the monetary policy implementation framework of number of central banks. Many countries have experienced very low interest rates for several years and some have pushed interest rates into negative territory.
OPTIMAL BANK CAPITAL REGULATION
Panel discussions considered the benefits and costs of capital regulation and the impact of regulation on banks’ internal capital allocation. Papers addressed capital requirements and financial stability, unintended consequences, and models of optimal bank liability structure.
