Giuseppe Ammendola is an international and multilingual  professor, researcher, consultant, and public speaker. For over thirty years, Professor Ammendola has been teaching at colleges and universities in the New York metropolitan area courses in: International Trade and Investment, International Finance, International Business, International Management, International Political Economy, International Marketing, International Relations, The Politics and Economics of the European Union, American Foreign Policy, and American Government. At SIPA he teaches a course in International Political Economy for the Executive MPA program which is  centered on the relevance of international politics, economics, and business for private and public decision-makers. At New York University, his main academic base, he teaches as Adjunct Professor graduate level courses in Global Finance, Multinational Corporations, and Global Marketing. He has been a visiting professor and has lectured at several Italian graduate schools and doctoral institutions. He is the Joseph Schumpeter Inaugural Visiting Professor of International Economics at the Universidade Autonoma of Lisbon, where he gives seminars to doctoral students on international finance, management, and marketing. He is also a Member of the Scientific Council of the OBSERVARE Research Center.

His writings include the book From Creditor to Debtor: The U.S. Pursuit of Foreign Capital - The Case of the Repeal of the Withholding Tax, published in the "Foreign Economic Policy of the United States - Outstanding Studies" Series (1994; 2019) as well as the country study "The Government of Italy" in Michael Curtis, ed., Western European Government and Politics (1997, 2003). He is the editor and main author of the book The European Union: Multidisciplinary Views (2008). In his extended article “Some Trends and Perspectives on Globalization, Economic Growth, Equality, and Development”, in Janus.net e-Journal of International Relations (2011), Dr. Ammendola selects and examines key analytical frameworks for the study of the global economy. He is also the author of the book Brexit, The European Union, and Globalization: Political and Economic Perspectives (2019).

Dr. Ammendola consults on strategic management, marketing, and business plan evaluation and writing. He has briefed public and private decision-makers from all over the world on global issues, on the political, economic, and business realities of the United States and Europe, and on country analysis. Dr. Ammendola has been speaker, organizer and/or panelist in hundreds of lectures, roundtables, and TV programs in the US and abroad. Bilingual in English and Italian, Dr. Ammendola speaks Spanish, French, and Portuguese with native-like fluency. Professor Ammendola holds a Doctor in Economics and Business degree (summa cum laude) from the University of Naples. He came to the United States as a Fulbright Scholar and received his Ph.D. in Political Science with a specialization in International Political Economy from the Graduate School of the City University of New York, where he also worked at several research institutes. Dr. Ammendola is the recipient of the New York University SCE Excellence in Teaching Award. He is on the Board of Advisors of the National Committee on American Foreign Policy. He is also a Young Leader (Alumnus) of the Council for the United States and Italy.
