Josh Chaffin promotes positive social change for vulnerable women and children, adolescents and youth through research, programming and advocacy. In 2006-7, he managed a USAID-funded reintegration program for children and women affected by the fighting forces in Liberia. He managed the humanitarian advocacy portfolios at ChildFund Alliance and Women Deliver in New York, and managed the Child Protection portfolio at Women’s Refugee Commission for six years. At UNICEF headquarters he managed a global evaluation of the agency’s work for adolescents. At UNICEF's East and Southern Africa regional office he served as Technical Expert on adolescents in humanitarian settings. He has consulted on child protection and youth empowerment issues for ILO, UNDG, the Government of Liberia, UNDP, INEE, World Vision International, Adam Smith International, NRC, War Child, and MercyCorps.
