The mission of the SIPA Food Systems Group (SFSG) is to provide a forum for students to explore issues of food security, nutrition, agriculture, and the ecological sustainability of food systems. By hosting a series of lectures, panel discussions, and cultural events, SIPA Food Systems Group aims to promote educational and professional opportunities for students by engaging with leading policymakers, practitioners, and academics in the field as well as a network of fellow students and alumni in the greater NYC community. Additionally SFSG brings students together around a shared appreciation of food culture and encourages inquiry into interactions of food and society.
