SIPA Students Honored for Essays in Journal of International Affairs

Two SIPA students,  Daniel E. White MPA ’20 and Christina Sewell MPA ’21, were selected as winners for the Andrew Wellington Cordier Award and Global Public Policy Network (GPPN) Contest respectively, in the Journal of International Affairs’s Fall/Winter 2020 issue, “Climate Disruption."

Daniel explored the nexus of climate change and national security in his essay, "The National Security Implications of Climate Change: Redefining Threats, Bolstering Budgets & Mobilizing the Arctic."

Christina argued for eliminating the meat subsidy to realize the true cost of animal-based products in her essay, "Removing the Meat Subsidy: Our Cognitive Dissonance Around Animal Agriculture."
