Personal Details

Adam Hinge manages Sustainable Energy Partnerships, a small consultancy specializing in energy efficiency program and policy issues.  He is involved with a variety of efforts working toward improving building energy performance around the U.S. and globally, and is involved in many international efforts to share best practices globally on building energy efficiency policies and programs, including development of the new Global Buildings Performance Network.  Clients have included the International Energy Agency, the World Bank, the China National Development & Reform Commission, the World Resources Institute,  International Copper Association, American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy, Consortium for Energy Efficiency, and numerous private energy services providers and consumers.  Hinge is active in a variety of relevant professional organizations, including the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Institute for Market Transformation.   Prior to founding Sustainable Energy Partnerships in 1995, Hinge held management positions at Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation and the New York State Energy Office.  He has engineering degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York State.
