SIPA Graduation & University Commencement 2024

SIPA Graduation will be on May 13 (also known as Class Day), we will recognize all SIPA’s own master’s and PhD candidates. At the University Commencement on May 15, Columbia will officially confer academic degrees on graduates from every school.

The Office of Student Affairs at SIPA oversees orientation of new students, academic advising and registration services, student life programming, and degree certification and graduation exercises.

IPA Financial Aid Office is dedicated to helping its students explore all available means to finance their education.

A vibrant array of student groups organize programming on a variety of issues in international and public affairs, along with social events and community service.

The DEICE Committee advises the Dean and the leadership team on efforts to support greater diversity at SIPA.

SIPA IT is the primary source of all IT and AV related support for SIPA faculty, staff, and students.

During your time at SIPA you will have three primary advisors. You will be assigned a Dean from SIPA’s Office of Student Affairs whose primary responsibility is to advise you on the Core requirements and to connect you to both SIPA and Columbia resources. Students in the MPA-DP, PESP, and PEPM program will be advised by designated staff members from each program.
