Annie Yang (she/her/hers) is a second-year Dual-Degree candidate pursuing a Master of International Affairs (MIA) from SIPA, Columbia University, and a Master of Public Policy (MPP) from GraSPP, University of Tokyo. Her concentration is in International Security Policy (ISP) with a focus on East Asia at SIPA, and Public Management and International Relations (PMIR) at GraSPP. Having graduated from Columbia University with a focus in Art History and East Asian Studies, Annie's desire to deepen her understanding of current international dynamics in East Asia, particularly in China-Japan-United States relations, led her to this academic path. With a life spent across New Zealand, Australia, China, the United States, and Japan, Annie hopes to bring a diverse perspective to her studies. Alongside her academic pursuits, she holds a strong passion for Baseball and Arts.
