Marsela is currently a first-year student at Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) focusing on Economic and Political Development and IO/UN Specialization. Marsela earned her bachelor's degree in Communication Studies in Indonesia at Bina Nusantara University. Prior to SIPA, Marsela built her own candle-crafting and soap-making business, and worked in The House of Representatives of Indonesia, under the Third Deputy of The House in Industrialization and Development Affairs. She has a passion for economic growth, education, and youth and community empowerment. She also became a part of the International Humanitarian Foundation called Tzu Chi Foundation which focuses on humanitarian aid and charity outreach in Indonesia. As part of her dedication to improving youth education, she became one of SIPA's Student Ambassadors to show prospective students from all over the world the quality of education and resources that a student can earn by only getting into Columbia SIPA.
